Join the Board of Directors:
The Independent Restaurant Coalition Board of Directors is comprised of individuals who are actively involved in the daily operations of restaurant and bars. We are grateful for their volunteer service and leadership.
To be qualified to be nominated as a Director you must be a person at least eighteen (18) years of age and be a member in good standing with the IRC. No two Directors shall be employed by a single corporation, company, partnership, or other legal entities that share substantial common ownership. Directors will serve staggered terms Responsibilities of Board Members include but are not limited to:
● Volunteering up to 5 hours a month to work for the IRC
● Interpreting the organization’s work and values to the community, representing the organization, and acting as a spokesperson.
● Actively participate in fundraising and development.
● Listening to our constituents' needs, speaking out for their interests, and holding the organization accountable on their behalf.
● Participating in and taking responsibility for making decisions on issues, policies, and other matters.

Join the 86th Squadron:
If you're looking for a way to engage directly with lawmakers to create a more sustainable future for independent restaurants and bars, we'd love to have you join us.
Members of the 86th are critical to the success of our initiatives. You may:
- Attend in person or virtual conversations and events with lawmakers.
- Testify at legislative hearings.
- Recruit members of the independent restaurant and bar community to engage with advocacy campaigns
- Be a spokesperson on key issues during a campaign
- Mentor members of the community who are new to this work.
